Ages 5–7

Middle School Years (Years 2 & 3)

While the Class teacher continues to play an integral role in the pupils' education as well as personal development, it is this part of the School that sees the gradual introduction of specialist teachers in the different subject areas.

In Year 2 formal homework is introduced, with the children receiving 20 minutes of homework per day during the week (and 30 minutes at the weekend). It is also during this Year that the recorder is introduced as part of the music syllabus. ICT is also taught as part of the curriculum and the Form makes use of the School’s dedicated IT suite.

From Year 3, pupils are taught French as a second language and also undertake project work. 

Competitive inter-school sporting fixtures are introduced during Year 3.
