News in Brief

LOWER KINDERGARTEN PICNIC IN THE PARK

On Friday 2nd July, Lower Kindergaren went to play on the swings at Queens Park. We took picnic and invited our families to join us. We made our sandwiches and at 11.00 am, we set off in the school minibus to Queens Park. We sat up really high so we could see over hedges and walls. This was very exciting and several of us recognised various landmarks along the way. We had a lovely time in the playground, playing and eating our picnic lunch. Thank you to all the families who came to join in the fun. Everybody had a very happy time. Lower Kindergarten and Mrs Brown.

MILE OF PENNIES

Thank you to everyone who donated their loose change last week to help us create our mile of pennies. Although we didn?t quite make the mile the children filled every line on the tennis court and had great fun doing it. Mr Williams took some great pictures which will be up in school. Year 3 then helped count the takings and we raised a fantastic sum of £100. We will be presenting the rotary club with a cheque towards their polio fundraising. Thank you again for helping this event be such a success.

SWIMMING NOTICE

For clarification, it is the School's policy not to allow pupils to wear googles until such time that they are able to swim competently in the deep end of the pool. If a child has a medical reason for wearing google please contact Mrs Evans

HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE

Please note that Government guidelines provide that in the event of a child being absent from school through either sickness or diarrhoea they must be kept away from school for 48 hours after the child's last bout of either ailment. In addition if the child is absent because of diarrhoea they cannot swim for a period of 2 weeks after returning to school.
