On Wednesday 6th December, the Year 6 girls had a match against Essendene School. The first quarter we played extremely well, so well that Essendene found it hard to get the ball out of one half of the court. Because of this we finally scored a goal, after a few attempts already. This left it 1-0 to us.
Feeling rather confident we decided, even though we were only winning by one goal, so we kept concentrating. We managed to score one more goal, and even though our defence was quite strong Essendene scored 2 goals leaving it 2-2 at half time.
The next half we had to prove that we were the better team that day. All our defence was amazing and our attack as well. Essendene managed to score one more goal, and we managed to score three goals, so feeling pleased with ourselves we ended that quarter 5-3 to us.
Our final quarter was the big break or make it moment, because we knew that Essendene were not out of the game yet. With some brilliant passes from all the girls and good footwork, we managed to score two more goals. So in the end we won 7-3, but Essendene were still an amazing and hard team to face.
I would like to thank all the girls for playing brilliantly and winning our last match of the season, which really put the icing on the cake. I would like to thank Mrs Pumphrey for arranging and setting up everything.
Thank you for reading.
