U10 Football Match v Caterham – 17th October

On Wednesday 17th October we had a football match v Caterham. We left with high hopes that it would be a good match.  We lost the toss and Caterham started with the ball. We held them off really well until they scored. Tomas and I were linking up really well, we had a great chance where I ran with the ball at my toes and had a shot but their goalkeeper saved it. Tomas took the rebound but their defenders cleared the ball.

Jack made some brilliant saves in goal. But they just kept scoring. Alfie did some really good passing, while Tristan and Paul did some really skilful defending whenever the ball came into the box or anywhere near the box.

Harry held the midfield area strong with Tomas and myself. Sebastian was upfront getting really close to scoring a few times. Tomas was getting some shots at goal and coming back to help the others in defence at times.

In the end Caterham won, but we tried our best and that’s what matters. Then we had some tea, up in the senior school. We had sausages, chips and baked beans.

We would like to say thank you to Miss Dance and Mr Burke for taking us and
to all the Mums and Dads for supporting us.

Football Captain for the match
