On Thursday 13th June I had the pleasure of attending the ISA London South Art Competition at Mead School in Tunbridge Wells. I took nine pieces of individual and group 2D and 3D art (including photography) which had been created by our children in LKG up to Year 6.
The standard of the art on display from all of the schools competing was of an incredibly high standard and I can say without a shadow of doubt, our entries this year from Oakhyrst Grange School were just as amazing and I felt incredibly proud to be there to represent the school on behalf of the children.
The judging process took some time and when the results were finally announced, I was delighted to hear that Saanya in Year 2 was the overall winner in the Key Stage 1 age group for her 3D individual entry called ‘Crocodile Shoe’.
Saanya’s winning piece now goes forward to be exhibited and compete in the ISA Art National finals in Coventry in November this year. Well done Saanya and also a HUGE well done to Jaimin P (LKG)
