Paul Collis joined Legal & General as an actuarial trainee in 1970, after graduating from Southampton University with a Maths degree, and qualified as an Actuary in 1978. He spent just over 40 years working for L&G in London and Surrey before retiring in 2011. Living in Merstham during the 1980s his two sons attended Oakhyrst and, several years after they left to go on to Whitgift, he was invited to join the Board of Governors in 1993; he was appointed as a Trustee in 2006. His two granddaughters more recently attended Oakhyrst, leaving in 2018 and 2020 respectively.”
