Parents’ Association

(Parents & Friends of Oakhyrst Grange – PFOG)

Our Parents’ Association, known as PFOG, is a wonderful part of school life at Oakhyrst Grange. Made up of enthusiastic parents from across the school community, PFOG plays an important role in bringing families together and enriching the experience of every child.

PFOG’s aims are to:

  • Raise funds for the school and its pupils
  • Provide social opportunities for parents and families
  • Encourage parent involvement in school life
  • Enhance school facilities and resources
  • Create memorable experiences for our children
  • And, of course, to have plenty of fun along the way!

As a team, PFOG works hard to raise money through enjoyable events and activities, all while supporting the school’s values. Their fundraising has helped provide fantastic additions to our school, including a woodland treehouse with a rope bridge, a school minibus, and new IT equipment.

Throughout the year, PFOG also organises Enrichment Days—such as author visits, circus skills workshops, and science-themed events—that engage and inspire the whole school.

Some of the many activities and events they run include:

  • Discos, Mufti Days, and Ice Cream Treats
  • Race Nights, Quiz Nights, Camping, Treasure Hunts, and Cake Sales
  • The Spring Ball, Summer Fayre, and Christmas Raffle
  • Christmas Decorations, the Christmas Party, and the Easter Egg Hunt

Form Parents

Form Parents co-ordinate activities for the benefit of their Class and act as a link between the Class teacher, PFOG and the parents in their Class. Volunteers are sought on an annual basis.
