Our award-winning Early Years Foundation Stage at Oakhyrst Grange provides a nurturing, stimulating and inspiring environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning. Covering our Pre-Reception and Reception classes, our EYFS curriculum is designed to help every child flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Learning Through Play

Children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our curriculum combines child-led exploration with carefully planned adult-guided activities, allowing children to develop essential skills while following their own interests and curiosity.

Learning takes place both indoors and outdoors, with opportunities to investigate, create, imagine and collaborate every day.

Outdoor Learning

Our spacious grounds provide an extension of the classroom, encouraging children to explore nature, develop physical confidence and take managed risks in a safe environment. Outdoor learning plays an important role in developing resilience, teamwork and a sense of adventure.

Working in Partnership with Parents

We believe that parents are a child’s first educators, and we value the close relationships we build with families. Regular communication, learning updates and parent consultations ensure you are fully involved in your child’s progress and development.
