Reading, writing, speaking and listening are at the heart of our curriculum. Through engaging stories, imaginative writing opportunities and structured phonics and spelling, children develop confidence in communication while discovering the joy of books and language.

Mathematics is taught through practical activities, games and real-life problem-solving. Children develop strong number skills, mathematical reasoning and confidence while learning to explain their thinking and apply their knowledge in different contexts.

Our science lessons encourage children to ask questions, investigate and explore the world around them. Through practical experiments and hands-on activities, pupils develop curiosity and begin to think like young scientists.

Creativity is celebrated through drawing, painting, sculpture, textiles and mixed media. Children are encouraged to experiment with different techniques, express themselves and take pride in their creations.

Children develop essential digital skills while learning about online safety, coding and creative computing. Technology is used to enhance learning across the curriculum.

Through designing, making and evaluating, pupils develop creativity, practical skills and resilience while working on exciting projects using a variety of materials.

Pupils explore their local environment and the wider world, developing an understanding of different places, cultures and the natural environment through practical and engaging activities.

Children begin to understand the past by exploring significant people, events and changes over time. Learning is brought to life through stories, artefacts, role play and educational visits.

Specialist music lessons inspire a love of music through singing, rhythm, composition and performance. Children develop confidence while exploring a wide range of musical styles and instruments.

Our beautiful grounds provide endless opportunities for outdoor learning. Through Forest School and nature-based activities, children develop curiosity, resilience, teamwork and a love of the natural world.

Regular PE lessons help children develop coordination, balance, teamwork and physical confidence through a variety of games and activities in a fun and supportive environment.

Children explore different faiths, beliefs and celebrations, developing respect, empathy and an appreciation of the diverse world in which they live.

Weekly swimming lessons enable children to build water confidence, develop swimming techniques and learn important water safety skills from an early age.
