Every day in our Pre-Prep is filled with curiosity, creativity and discovery. From the moment children arrive, they are welcomed into a nurturing environment where they feel happy, confident and ready to learn. With small class sizes, specialist teaching and exceptional pastoral care, every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.
Children are greeted by familiar faces as they arrive, settling into their classrooms ready for the day ahead. The morning begins with registration, giving everyone the chance to connect with friends and teachers before learning begins.
No two mornings are ever the same! English and Maths provide strong foundations, while lessons are brought to life through practical activities, discussion and exploration. As children move through Pre-Prep, they begin learning with specialist teachers in subjects such as PE, Music, Swimming and Computing, helping them develop confidence and a love of learning across the curriculum.
Morning break is an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, build friendships and burn off energy in our spacious playgrounds and beautiful grounds. Whether climbing, running, inventing games or simply chatting with friends, play is an important part of every school day.
Our curriculum extends far beyond traditional lessons. Children enjoy creative art projects, music, Forest School adventures, science investigations and sporting activities that encourage teamwork, resilience and independence. Every experience is designed to spark curiosity and develop new skills.
Lunchtime is one of the highlights of the day. Freshly prepared meals are cooked on site and enjoyed together in a relaxed, family-style setting. Older pupils often help younger children, creating a caring community where everyone feels included.
Afternoons are packed with exciting learning opportunities, from history and geography to languages, computing, sport and outdoor learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems and work collaboratively, developing confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
The school day finishes at 3.25pm for Years 1 and 2, but the fun doesn’t have to end there. Many children choose to stay for a wide range of after-school clubs or our wraparound care, where they can continue learning, playing and making memories with friends until 6:15pm.
