One of the greatest strengths of our school is the seamless transition from EYFS into Pre-Prep. It is because our children are part of the wider school community from the very beginning that they quickly become familiar with the environment, routines and the adults around them.
The youngest in the school regularly spend time with older children and staff at lunchtimes and during playtimes, giving them the opportunity to build relationships with a range of teachers long before they move classes.
As transition day approaches, the children have the chance to spend dedicated time with their new teacher, helping them feel confident and excited about the next step. Throughout the year, their current teacher carefully prepares them both emotionally and academically, ensuring they have the confidence, independence and skills needed to thrive.
By the time they leave EYFS, moving into Pre-Prep feels like a natural and exciting progression rather than a daunting change.
