Oakhyrst Grange School Joins the Award-Winning Caterham Family of Schools
Thriving and much-loved Surrey preparatory school, Oakhyrst Grange School, has announced that it will be joining the multi award-winning Caterham Family of Schools, marking an exciting new chapter in the school’s 75-year history.
Set within five and a half acres of beautiful Surrey Hills lawns and woodland, Oakhyrst Grange School is renowned for its nurturing ethos, strong academic foundations and exceptional pastoral care. Combining traditional values with innovative learning opportunities, the school provides an inspiring environment where children are encouraged to grow in confidence, develop a love of learning and achieve their full potential.
The partnership brings together two schools that have enjoyed a close relationship for decades and share a commitment to educational excellence, pupil wellbeing and innovation. Oakhyrst Grange is proud of its exceptional facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, sports hall, Multi-Use Games Area and dedicated Forest School provision, all of which support a broad and ambitious curriculum. U11 & U10 Football v Banstead Prep – Wednesday 9th November
Match 1
On Wednesday 9th November, we welcomed Banstead Prep school to a home match. All of us started slowly, but gradually became focused and determined. We pushed forward against Banstead charging rapidly down and up the field. It was quite competitive on the field. Our goalkeepers were Hartley for the first half and Jackson in the second half. Oscar was in defence and took some spectacular blocks which contributed to the team. We also had some great attackers and midfielders pushing towards their goal. Joseph, Brodie, Jacob and I had some good opportunities to score.
Overall, it was a great match and we all played really well. We went inside to host match tea and had some delicious hotdogs!

Match 2
On Wednesday 9th November, we hosted Banstead Prep school. One team were playing on the grass and we were on the MUGA. Our team players were; Max and Henry upfront and midfield while Akash and Kasra were our strong defenders with me in goal. Max was the captain of the team. Kick off was under way and Oakhyrst soon realised that Banstead were really good. We all remembered Miss Dance’s tactics which was to pass and move while going forward but suddenly Banstead got the ball, but I managed to make a save.
Overall it was really enjoyable. After the match we had Hotdogs, Crips, KitKat and some orange juice.
