Year 5&6 Football Fixtures v Chinthurst
Our Year 5&6 Boys divided themselves into A, B and C football teams in a series of competitive football matches against Chinthurst school last Wednesday 12th November.
A Team
The A team produced a spirited performance in a challenging match that ended in a 5–1 defeat. After an excellent first half, the teams went into the break level at 0–0, with our players showing strong organisation, work rate and discipline. Early in the second half, we continued to compete well and created several promising chances. However, in the final five minutes the opposition found a burst of momentum, scoring a flurry of late goals to secure the win. Despite the result, the boys should be proud of their determination and the quality of football they displayed for the majority of the game.
B Team
The B team also faced tough opposition and, although they were unable to secure a victory, they showed clear signs of improvement throughout the match. Their commitment, teamwork and willingness to take on feedback were evident, and the fixture gave the players an excellent opportunity to test themselves in a competitive environment.
C Team
Similarly, the C team worked hard in what proved to be a fast-paced and physical game. While the result did not go their way, the players demonstrated resilience, enthusiasm and encouraging development in their skills and positional play. The match provided valuable experience and plenty of positives to build on.
