U11 Girls’ Football v Hawthorns School – Wednesday 23rd February

On Wednesday 23rd February the Year 5 and 6 girls hosted Hawthorns Prep in a competitive, but enjoyable football match.
All the girls played and seemed to really enjoy it.  Some of the girls already play football so it was nice to see them help the others. The girls were split into three teams and just rotated around so they had a chance to play everyone.
The games were very exciting with many goals going in.  I saw some amazing saves from both teams, but what I was really impressed with was everyone’s effort levels and encouragement with each other. It was lovely to see.
There wasn’t any outstanding winner but really well done to all the girls who competed.
